We are announcing the extended application deadline for the 2021 “La Serena School for Data Science: Applied Tools for Data-driven Sciences” . The school is a great opportunity for students to learn statistical and computational tools for working in the “Big Data” paradigm, and it is aimed to advanced undergraduate and graduate (up to 3rd year) students in Astronomy, Physics, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Biology and related fields in data-intensive disciplines. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year the school will be fully online between August 2–13, with synchronous and asynchronous sessions. Students currently in Chilean, US and Ecuadorian (members of CEDIA) institutions are eligible for full scholarships. Please, encourage your students to apply and feel free to forward this message to professors and students who may find this information relevant.
